Field of study

In recent years, my research activity has been centered on the role of proprotein convertase subtilisin kexin type 9 (PCSK9) in the context of molecular mechanisms leading to atheroma formation. To pursue this aim, epidemiological, in vitro and in vivo studies have been conducted. Last two years have been dedicated to epidemiological evaluation of lipoprotein(a) in the field of coronary revascularization and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease.
